D'Spectacles in the early part of their journey was actively engaged in folk group singing contests through which they made their "claim to fame".
Competing back then was a pressure, reminiscing now is a joy. We believe many contestants would feel the same way. We would like to trace back and capture the "history" of folk singing contests in Hong Kong for collective memory and where possible build a community of contestants of those days.
We plan on setting up a project and seek interested parties to join or support. With participation from the folk community and network, we hope to build this big picture.
